WordPress Performance & SEO

Slow sites lose clients.
Yours won't.

16+ years of web engineering — WordPress as the main engine, custom builds when it is not the right one. Core Web Vitals in the green, rankings that hold, and load times cut from 20 seconds to under 1.5.

The method

Five layers. Most fixes touch one.

A page is slow at a specific layer. I start where the request starts and work down — which is why the numbers still hold a month later.

What most fixes actually do

Most “optimizations” are three things: a caching plugin, one PageSpeed run, and the word optimized. That is why the site looks fine on your laptop and is still slow on a phone — the cache hides the work instead of removing it, so every layer underneath is doing exactly the same thing on every request. And it is why the same fix gets paid for again next year.

Network

Cloudflare CDN, GZIP/Brotli, HTTP/2 — the request should not cross an ocean twice.

  • Cloudflare
  • Brotli
  • HTTP/2
  • Edge caching

Server

Redis, LiteSpeed, .htaccess and Nginx tuning, so PHP is not rebuilding the same page for every visitor.

  • Object cache

Database

Cleanup, indexing and slow-query elimination — the part almost nobody looks at.

Code

Theme files, functions.php, and the page-builder bloat that ships 40 requests to render a heading.

  • Hooks

Assets

WebP/AVIF, lazy loading, critical CSS, font optimization — what the browser is left holding.

Clients

What they say afterwards

Written by people who are still clients — several of them years later.

I've been working with Zura for a long time, and he has consistently delivered great results. He built several websites for me and took care of the SEO, which brought clear improvements in both traffic and rankings. There were plenty of challenges along the way, but he handled every one of them professionally and always found the right solution. He also made the sites noticeably faster, which made a real difference. Highly recommended!

I had a great experience working with Zura. He is a committed and responsible professional who communicates clearly and delivers on time. He was approachable and easy to work with from start to finish, which kept the whole project smooth and efficient. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for reliable support in web development.

Thank you, Zura, for helping me build quality websites. My sites genuinely perform on Google, and the local businesses among them hold the top positions. I have worked with Zura for many years now — by this point we are one big family. Thank you, Zura, and all the best in your career.
Misha M. Long-term client
Zura built our website from nothing — we had no online presence at all. Since then we have sold a great deal through it, we still rank at the top on Google today, and we are glad he was the one who helped us with all of it.

Questions

Before you send the first email

The things people actually ask on the first call.

How long does a speed optimization take?
Most sites are finished in three to seven days. I audit first, so you get the real timeline and the price before any work starts — not an estimate that moves later.
What happens if my site breaks?
It will not be your live site that breaks. Everything happens on a staging copy with a full backup taken first, and nothing goes live until you have seen it working.
Do you guarantee a specific PageSpeed score?
I guarantee a measurable improvement on the same tests, run against the same pages, before and after. Anyone promising a fixed number before looking at your site has not looked at your site.
Can you work with my current hosting?
Yes — shared hosting, VPS, LiteSpeed, Cloudways, WP Engine, SiteGround, Kinsta. And if the host itself is the bottleneck, I will tell you that instead of billing you to work around it.
Why not just install a caching plugin?
Caching hides work that should not be happening at all. It does nothing for a bloated theme, an unindexed database, or four megabytes of unoptimized images — which is why most “optimized” sites are still slow on a phone.
How do we work together across time zones?
I work remotely, on hours that overlap US mornings. You get a reply within 24 hours, usually sooner, and a written update at every stage.
What do I actually receive at the end?
Before and after numbers on the same tests, a written summary of what changed and why, and everything documented so any developer can pick it up. No lock-in, no proprietary plugin you have to keep paying for.
