Lorena Palombo — Plant-Based Retreat Chef
A retreat chef's site that was slow and awkward on a phone — which is where most people find her — and did not present what she actually does: plant-based cooking for retreats, built around mindful and sustainable food.

What I actually did
The problem
A retreat chef's site that was slow and awkward on a phone — which is where most people find her — and did not present what she actually does: plant-based cooking for retreats, built around mindful and sustainable food.
The solution
Redesigned the site around the work itself, then optimized it until it loads in one to two seconds anywhere in the world. Cleared the heavy, unused files sitting on the server and cut the media down to what the pages need. Removed the plugins that were doing more damage than work and replaced them with code written for the job. Added English and German so the retreats reach the audience she was missing.
The client
In their words
Zura made a huge difference to my website. It used to be slow and difficult to use on a phone. He got it running much faster, cleared out the old plugins and added English and German versions. The site finally feels like it represents my work.
